The Ohio State USBC, each year, will honor 2 graduating seniors, one female and one male, for their excellence in scholastic achievement and bowling prowess with $3,000 Scholarships. Winners are chosen from those applicants submitted.   This year 26 applicants were screened. The Scholarships will be paid through the SMART program through USBC.

Mark Edsall – a Senior at Archbishop Alter High School in Kettering, Ohio is the male recipient of the 2019 Ohio State USBC Scholarship. Mark graduates with a 4.09 grade point average. His studies included many honors classes and he has received numerous honors for his efforts. Not only is Mark as excellent student but he also volunteers his time at an area nursing home and participating in many church activities, His current bowling average is 211.5. Kailey Bonniwell – a senior at Jackson Local Schools in Massillon, Ohio is the female recipient of the 2019 Ohio State USBC Scholarship.   Kailey graduates with a 4.5 grade point average. Her studies include honors and college credit classes. She has won many honors and graduates Summa Cum Laude with a 27 score for mathematics on her ACT. She does volunteer work at the American Red Cross and Mercy Medical Center. Kailey plans to attend Kent State and pursue a medical career.
