The Ohio Bowling Alliance (BCAO and Ohio State USBC) will hold our annual State Adult/Youth Tournament at Penn Lanes on the first two weekends of October 2026.
Penn Lanes will play host to the tournament on October 3 & 4 and October 10 & 11 with squads at 9:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. each day. Walk-Ins will be accepted based on lane availability.
There are 2 divisions (age as of August 1, 2026):
• Adult/Youth (Youth bowler is 12 or under)
• Adult/Teen (Teen bowler is 13 or older)
Multiple participation is allowed, just switch partners and bowl as many squads as you would like!
1 in 6 youth bowlers will be awarded scholarship monies. Scholarships awards will be sent to and administered by S.M.A.R.T. The winning team in each division will receive an award.
The tournament will also host a Photo Contest this year! Take a selfie in front of the Adult/Youth Tournament banner that will be on-site, tag the Ohio State USBC Association on Facebook and/or post to the Adult/Youth event page and the submitter of the photo will be entered into a drawing!

District Ohio Youth Scratch Championships
The Ohio Youth Scratch Championships presented by SMART is a scratch only tournament. There are a total of twelve (12) different divisions in the tournament which are broken down by age and gender. These tournaments are held, one each, in 5 Districts of the Ohio State USBC. All scholarships earned by the youth participants will be administered by the National USBC S.M.A.R.T. Program.
Bowlers need not qualify for the district level competition. Any certified youth bowler may bowl in the District Youth Scratch Championships presented by SMART.

The 2027 Ohio Youth Scratch Championships will be held at Beaver-Vu Bowl in Beavercreek, Ohio.
Ohio Youth Handicap Singles
Bowlers qualify for the State Youth Scratch Championships through district tournaments, held in each of the 5 Ohio State USBC Districts.
Competition is based on handicap scores for all divisions of this tournament. Divisions are: boys/girls – U8, U10, U12, U14, U16, U18.

The 2026 State Youth Handicap Singles Tournament will be held at Beaver-Vu Bowl, in Beavercreek, Ohio.
The Buckeye State Youth Championships is open to Ohio youth members who have not reached their 18th birthday prior to August 1 of the current bowling season (8/1/2026).
The youth MUST bowl in a USBC certified league within the jurisdiction of the Ohio State USBC or live within the state.
All scholarships awarded will be administered by the National USBC S.M.A.R.T. program.
The 2027 Buckeye State Youth Championships will be held at Sequoia Pro Bowl in Columbus, Ohio. Tournament dates are April 3-4 and April 10-11.
